    i’m pretty sure this kind would be better about a foot down from the ceiling on a wall, away from any corners.

    this is the lowest you should install a normal smoke alarm, but the best place for a carbon monoxide alarm is 5-6 feet off the floor so i think high on the wall is a good compromise
