What’s a good, inexpensive home network security camera?
We’re looking to set up an inexpensive network security camera in our home. I already have ethernet wiring in most of the house, and a Windows 2003 server that could run any software required to record video. I’m looking for a fairly inexpensive IP-based security camera. Any recommendations ?

What is the best video surveillance system for home security?

Can you build you own home security system?
Installing the cameras, sensors, wires, etc and then connecting it all to a main computer and then set up the wireless alerting devices – notifying you and then the police department? Is this a difficult project but worthwhile since there is no need for a monthly fee that you pay with other security systems?

How much money does a consultant for a home security systems company usually make in a month?
I have been offered a job promoting ADT security systems. The job would involve me giving these away to promote the company. I was told that per system given away, I would make between $200 and $300 depending on the number of systems sold per month. I was also told that on average, I would be selling one system per day.
I was wondering if someone in the consulting business could tell me if this sounded accurate.

How much should I pay for my home security system?
3 doors, 1 motion detector, 1 keypad, 1 siren, 1 control panel, 1 lawn sign, 10 window stickers, and a certificate to get a home insurance discount…How much is all that worth if they are offering free installation too? Is $34.95 a month too much to pay for monitoring?
