If you're looking to add a little protection to your house or apt, this might be what you're looking for.

First off, it's got some nice features. The dialing of numbers works well, and there is a panel you can remove that gives access to some terminals that allow you to add other inputs and an external siren. Also, the siren inside is plenty loud in my opinion.

The longest delay you can set before the system triggers is 20 seconds. So if this isn't mounted right near your door, you pretty much have to go straight to it and disarm it. The delay after arming it is a solid 60 seconds.

My biggest problem with it was that it's all one piece, because the best place to put a motion sensor is high up in a corner, and the best place to put the control box is somewhere hidden near your door (and near a phone outlet). I actually hacked apart the device and extended the wires connecting the two pieces so I could mount the motion sensor farther from the control box. This arrangement is working out nicely. The battery backup works fine, and I also extended the power cord to the control box.
The motion sensor itself picks up movement very nicely and doesn't pick up movement outside glass windows, exactly what you'd want.

The ease of adding inputs and outputs and extending and modding what is there makes this device a good brain for a DIY security system. Plus, you can't beat the price.

I am being generous with the stars. The sensor works pretty well, and the Auto Dialer works as advertised however there are some issues with this device. It might work well if it was on a dedicated line but on a single line there are some real issues. When some one calls the phone the alarm goes off and the caller gets the siren. We set this up before going on vacation and had so many calls to my cell phone that we had to have the neighbor turn it off!
It was simply a matter of calling the house and you would get a call from the alarm system shortly there after. The price was right but in line with it's performance.

This little gem is priceless! We had doubts of it's dependability and although we've only had it installed for a few weeks it has already worked well....a little too well. The unit is placed in a remote location and dials our home. One late night the phone rang and the alram sounded - rushed to the sight with gun and clubs in hand only to find that a very large spider triggered it. Whew, a little bug spray later we are quite pleased with this unit.

This device is great if you have someone to call, once the device calls you. I was impressed that it actually worked, however it was a little slow to dial out. If you keep the audible alarm off it might scare an intruder away or give them time to deactivate it before you get a call. I would recommend keeping it silent. Once you get the call from the alarm, you can go to the scene, call a neighbor to check on things or call the police. Whatever works best in your situation. Great for an apartment or as a backup to any other in-house/building alarm system that you may have. If the phone lines are cut, it's of no use to you!

hi there...

This alarm works great... you can add like 3 accessories... the only that i dont like a lot is that u cant save a voice message... when it call you... you will hear a siren in your phone...

One great thing is if you have a code to block the 0 and 1 number u can enter the code in the alarm follow by the number you want to call... there if a p (pause) that u can put between the code and the number for wait the code works and later call the number...

i hope this will help you!
